My name is Jason Riley. And this is a short summary of me.
1982. Far, far away in the South China Sea on the small island city of Singapore, a little Eurasian baby was born. Me. This is where I was brought up, a shy boy who was good at soccer and had a blue belt in tae kwon do. It was where I went to school and met a lot of good people who have taught me values that I still treasure today.
2003. I graduate with a diploma in Interactive Media Design at Temasek Poly Design School. A few months later I begin my 2.5-year national service in the good ol' SAF where I finally ended up as a section commander in the Combat Engineers.
2005. I journey to beautiful Vancouver BC to pursue my Degree in Film and Integrated Media at Emily Carr University of Art & Design (as its known now)
2011. I try my hand in the Visual Effects industry as an Artist at GFZ Studios in Vancouver.
Today. I continue to move forward, striving to improve my skills and myself, in the craft that I seem to be most good at. This is a bizarre universe. And I acknowledge that. Let we not forget the privilege that it is, to be aware of our existence in this crazy mesh of time and space. I'll see you in the future, if you see me in the past.
